Ashish Kulkarni’s Eviction Over ShanmukhaPriya Has left Netizens Furious.
There are various reality shows that get slammed by the netizens for many reasons and one among them is the format being “unfair”. Off late, singing reality show Indian Idol 12 is facing the wrath of the viewers. Not just netizens, several special guests, former judges, and other celebs have also been slamming the show and many have even claimed that it is “scripted”.
In the midst of all this, a few of the contestants are also receiving backlash and one among them is Shanmukhapriya. She has often been trolled for the way she sings and whenever someone “deserving” gets evicted over her, netizens troll Shanmukhapriya and a similar thing happened recently. But, there were many who supported the young singer and praised her talent as well.
On July 11, 2021, contestant Ashish Kulkarni got evicted and the same led to social media outrage. Netizens are of the opinion that instead of Ashish, Shanmukhapriya should have been evicted. As soon as the result was announced, netizens took to Twitter and started slamming the show and calling Ashish’s eviction “unfair.” And said Shanmukhapriya Should have been eliminated instead of her.
Amidst all this, ShanmukhaPriya has found support in audience as they defended the young singer and called out trollers for not understanding her singing.
On wrote, “Wow…Asha ji related herself to SMP… saying how both of them experiment different styles of music having classical singing as base. This is actually a great compliment for SMP. And, this unique quality of her singing will take her a long way!!”
Another wrote, “SMP is a gift for this Indianidol2021 season otherwise it’s very boring with all monotonous melodies, she brought the enegry to the show. She makes almost all Judge and contestants do dancing with her rocking performance. She is a Rockstar.”

We’re sure that it must be difficult for the young talent to deal with the criticism but we hope Shanmukhapriya comes out stronger than ever!
If Shanmukha Priya or any other female contestant does win the title, it will be for the first time that a girl has won Indian Idol after almost a gap of three seasons. The last girl to win Indian Idol was Ananya Sritam Nanda who won the Season 8 title in 2015.
