FIR has been filed against filmmaker-actor Mahesh Manjrekar for allegedly slapping and abusing a man in Pune.
A man has filed a police complaint against filmmaker-actor Mahesh Manjrekar for allegedly slapping and abusing him after his car hit Manjrekar’s vehicle here in Pune, a senior police official said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Friday night near Yavat village on Pune-Solapur highway following which police registered a non-cognisable offence against Manjrekar, the official from Yavat police station said.
The complainant, Kailas Satpute, had alleged that his vehicle hit Manjrekar’s car from behind after the filmmaker applied sudden brakes. After this, Mahesh Manjrekar then stepped out of his car and both of them had an argument, following which Manjrekar slapped and abused him. He later filed a police complaint against the filmmaker.
Police has now registered a non-cognisable offence under relevant Indian Penal Code Sections against Manjrekar, an official said, according to a PTI report.

Meanwhile on work front Mahesh Manjrekar has Antim-The Final Truth features Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma as lead characters. The film is Hindi remake of a hit Marathi film, Mulshi Pattern. Salman Khan will be playing sikh cop in the film.
